Are the products able to be used on animals or myself directly?
Just like we wouldn’t put standard cleaning products directly on ourselves generally, cleaning products are meant for surfaces like facility tabletops, counters, and floors, not skin*.
*Exception: HT Odor Eliminator is practical and safe for mixture with animal shampoo. For dilution instructions, click here.
How long after cleaning do I need to wait before letting animals back in the area?
Many products can be left to dry and animals can return to the area right after cleaning. Be sure to check the label for dry time.
Do the products kill viruses?
Many of the products are virucidal and some even kill parvovirus and Covid-19. Be sure to check the label to make sure it suits your needs.
Are the products environmentally friendly?
Higher concentrated products are developed in accordance with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards – using the least amount of product necessary for effectiveness. This means preventing thousands upon thousands of individual plastic bottles from piling up in our oceans and soils. We are also one of the only companies with a drum recycling program, preventing large amounts of buildup in landfills.
Some disinfectant products sound similar, how do I know what I need?
Some HT disinfectant products are more concentrated than others, and some have higher virucidal properties. Highly concentrated products are great for larger facilities as you’ll use less product for larger areas, saving time and money.
Do I need both Kennel Kare SC and Triple Two?
Both products are great choices for cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing. Kennel Kare SC is a higher-concentration product. We usually recommend Kennel Kare SC for larger businesses and facilities, great for covering larger floor spaces. It’s also great for places where viruses and contaminants might be more frequent. For smaller businesses and facilities, triple two works effectively.
Do I have to rinse the products after application?
Rinsing or wiping off is always recommended when cleaning up animal areas.
How do I disinfect rugs and carpet?
While soft surfaces like rugs, carpet, and fabric, can be cleaned, because of the absorption, they cannot be disinfected the same way a hard surface like vinyl walls can be.
Odor Eliminator is a great cleaner that removes the smell from gross filth, like poop and pee stains, leaving the area smelling clean.
Can I clean and disinfect my floor drains?
Draintain is our recommendation for keeping your floor drains free flowing. It’s sceptic safe and effective against gunk, grime, buildup, and will keep bad odors at bay.
How do I disinfect my turf grass?
Synthetic turf due to its properties cannot be disinfected the way that traditional hard surfaces like vinyl flooring can be. However, it can be cleaned. Triple two and odor eliminator are great products to get the gunk out of your turf and keep it smelling great.
Are the products safe for young animals to be around?
While the products are specifically developed knowing that animal paws and bellies will be touching the surfaces after cleaning, many young animals are still developing their immune systems and their skin is particularly thin. Use caution when cleaning around young animals.
We recommend removing young animals from the premises while cleaning, rinsing off the product thoroughly, and leaving it to dry before allowing the babies back in the area.
Can pregnant individuals clean with these products?
Our products are developed with safety in mind, however, utilize special caution and safety procedures during pregnancy. Wearing external safety gear like gloves, goggles, and a mask are recommended for utilizing any cleaning products.
